In the case of Operation 2, the Ajuntament de Mataró is creating a new facility in the city, the CareCityLab. The CareCityLab is a new centre which works towards intelligent specialisation in the field of social and health care. It will be located on the ground floor, first floor and second floor of the building at Passeig de la Marina 142 in Mataró (Maresme).
The CareCityLab aims to be a centre of reference in the area of research and innovation around the field of care, attention and improvement of the quality of life for the most vulnerable and fragile groups (the elderly, dependent, chronically ill or disabled people).
The new facility will host several project’ activities, which will be aimed at developing innovation projects and awareness-raising, as well as implementing knowledge transfer activities in the field of ageing in three directions: innovation in public policies for the care of the elderly, programming of relational activities and digital training for the elderly and a support programme for carers, both professional and non-professional.
